You are treated like trash for doing anything but going to meat-ings and out in field circus.
The family vacation is going to the convention.
You secretly get educated, save/earn money, buy life/long term care insurance and plan for the future.

in the part of the u.s. where i live most of the territories require driving long distances.
some congregation members are unemployed and many are retired/living on limited income.
They won't change a damn thing until they feel it's going to affect profit and distribution.
where is the evidence you were "wronged", "mistreated", dis-fellowshipped for no reason, blah, blah, blah.. some of you seem to want "evidence" to provide credibility to other's statements at times.. where is your evidence?.

Instead of church, plan some real quality time together, even if it's watching cartoons in your pjs, because anything is better than stuffing them in church clothes and beating the living hell out of them for not sitting still and being quiet.

i can remember this growing up in the 1970s.
my folks joined the wt back in 1968 under threat of armageddon coming in 1975. i was in first grade and ran the gauntlet of no flag salute, national anthem, holidays and no worldly friends.

i always got along with everyone very well except for a couple of people.
this experience was partly my fault.
Ugh, I have problems with almost all of them. If you don't fit their mold you're "defective" and thus deserving of being sneered at, shunned (even while still in and active) and gossiped about; all the while they are doing terrible things behind others backs.
But we mustn’t complain, after all this is Jayhoovers LOVING borganization. (Just gagged a bit.)
there was an newspaper article this morning quoting the un as stating that in 2011 disasters cost $355 billion, a new record.
i am sure the watchtower will jump on this for their next issues as proof that we are in the last days and the end must be soon.
no doubt there will be the following quote:.
